Copyleaks

A plagiarism and AI-content detection service: it checks text, code and images against web and document sources and reports copied or AI-generated parts.

What Copyleaks is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Copyleaks is a content analysis platform from the company Copyleaks that detects plagiarism and AI-generated content. Plagiarism detection compares a text with other texts to find copied or closely paraphrased passages; AI detection estimates whether a text, image or video was produced by an AI model.

The plagiarism checker compares a document with a database that includes millions of assignments and with pages found by real-time web indexing. It finds paraphrasing, matches translated from other languages and copied source code, in more than 100 languages. The AI detector covers text from models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and Claude in more than 30 languages, plus AI images and video, and both checks can run in one report. Scans run in the web app, a browser extension, a Google Docs add-on, school LMS integrations, or through the API, with official SDKs for Python, Node.js, Java, C#, PHP and Ruby.

Copyleaks is a hosted service sold as monthly or yearly subscriptions that include a number of credits; extra credits can be bought at any time.
