HappyHorse

A video generation model from Alibaba that makes short cinematic video clips with sound from a text prompt or images, and edits existing videos.

What HappyHorse is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 27 October 2026.

HappyHorse is a video generation model from Alibaba, developed by its Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business unit; version 1.0 entered a limited beta in April 2026. The model creates a video clip from a text prompt (text-to-video), animates a still image (image-to-video), or puts a subject from a reference image into a new video. It can also edit an existing video while it keeps the original structure and motion.

Clips are up to 15 seconds long, in 1080p, with several shots, and come with matching audio such as lip-synced dialogue and ambient sound. Through the API, a program sends a prompt and settings for resolution (480P to 1080P), aspect ratio and duration. The call is asynchronous: the program creates a task and then polls for the result, which usually takes 1 to 5 minutes.

HappyHorse is offered on its own website with Free, Standard and Pro plans and credit packs, in Alibaba's Qwen app, and as a pay-per-use API on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio, billed per second of output video.
