Pika

An AI media generation platform that makes video, images and sound from text, images or clips, with its own Pika models and an API to over 100 models.

What Pika is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Pika is a generative AI platform for video, image and audio, made by Pika Labs. Generative models create new media from a prompt: a text description, a reference image or an existing clip. Pika has its own models, such as Pika 2.5, Pikaframes, Pika Speech, Pika Music and Pika SFX, and also offers models from other labs, such as Seedance, Kling, Veo and Nano Banana.

In the web app, separate tools do single jobs: Video Studio makes anything from short clips to 30-second multi-shot videos, Extend Video generates extra frames to make a clip longer, Pika Soundtrack scores a clip with music and sound effects, Character Studio keeps a character the same across creations, and Product Shot makes product images without a photo shoot. For developers, the Pika API gives one API key for more than 100 image, video, audio and language models, and also works from coding agents.

The app is a subscription paid in monthly credits, with a free plan. The API is a membership with a monthly fee plus a price for each generation.
