Calendly is meeting scheduling software, a web service that replaces the exchange of emails needed to agree on a meeting time. The host connects one or more calendars, sets the hours when meetings are possible, and shares a booking link or a booking page embedded on a website. The invitee picks one of the open times.
Each kind of meeting is an event type, from a one-on-one call to a meeting with several hosts or a round-robin that gives the meeting to the next free team member. Calendly sends email and text reminders, lets invitees reschedule, and offers routing forms: questions that qualify a lead and send it to the right person. It connects to more than 150 other tools, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe and PayPal. Newer parts are Callie, an AI assistant that schedules from an email thread, a Notetaker that joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls and writes a recap, and payments taken before a meeting.
It is a hosted service sold per seat with a monthly subscription. A free plan allows one event type, and invitees do not need a seat.
