Clay

A go-to-market data platform: it fills lead and company lists with data bought from many providers, researches accounts with AI agents and runs sales and marketing workflows.

What Clay is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Clay is a platform for go-to-market (GTM) teams, the sales and marketing staff who find and win customers, made by Clay. Its core is data enrichment: adding missing facts, such as email addresses, phone numbers, job titles or company size, to a list of people or companies.

Users build tables and workflows on a visual canvas, by clicks, code or chat. Clay's data marketplace sells data from more than 200 providers in one place, and waterfall enrichment asks several providers in turn until one returns a value, which raises coverage. Claygent, Clay's AI agent with web research, generates custom data points, and signals track events such as job changes, promotions and new hires. Results can feed lead scoring, update a CRM, become ad audiences on LinkedIn, Meta and Google, or start emails through Clay's own sequencer. An API, a CLI and a plugin for coding agents give developers access.

Clay is a hosted service sold by subscription; each plan includes a monthly number of actions and data credits. There is a free plan and a 14-day trial.
