CodeRabbit

An AI code review service: it reviews every pull request automatically, summarizes the change, comments on likely bugs and suggests fixes before a human reviews it.

What CodeRabbit is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

CodeRabbit is an AI code review service made by the company CodeRabbit. Code review is the step in which another engineer reads a change before it is merged; CodeRabbit does a first review automatically, with AI models, on every pull request (PR), a proposed change to a code repository.

It connects to GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps and Bitbucket. On each PR it posts a plain-language summary and walkthrough of the change, then comments on lines with likely bugs and suggests fixes that can be applied with one click. It learns from the team's feedback and keeps these learnings for later reviews, and pre-merge checks enforce custom requirements before a merge. The same reviews run in the IDE (the code editor) and from the command line. Other products put the PR queue in order of value and risk (Triage) and scan repositories for vulnerabilities, leaked secrets and vulnerable dependencies.

CodeRabbit is a hosted service sold as a subscription per developer, billed monthly or yearly, with a 14-day trial. Reviews of public repositories are free.
