Colorlib

A library of WordPress themes and HTML website templates: a business downloads a ready-made design and edits it into its own website.

What Colorlib is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Colorlib is a website that publishes WordPress themes and HTML website templates, with a web design blog. A theme is a ready-made design that sets how a WordPress site looks; an HTML template is a set of finished HTML, CSS and JavaScript files that a developer edits into a site. Aigars Silkalns founded Colorlib in 2013 in Riga, Latvia, and Divilab LLC operates it.

The library holds more than 1,500 responsive templates built with Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS and Astro, grouped by industry (business, portfolio, restaurant, medical and others), and 12 free themes on WordPress.org, such as Shapely and Sparkling. Responsive means that the layout adapts to desktops, tablets and phones. A user downloads a template, changes its design, code and content, and uses it for its own or client websites. The same company maintains AdminLTE, an open-source admin dashboard template.

Free resources are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 and must keep the credit link. A paid licence, for one template or as a yearly or lifetime plan, permits removing the Colorlib credit and adds forum support.
