DevHunt

A launch site for developer tools: makers list a new tool for a chosen week, and developers vote, so the top tools reach its newsletter and audience.

What DevHunt is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

DevHunt is a launch platform for developer tools: makers list a new tool, and developers vote for it during its launch week. Its team built it because launching developer tools on general platforms such as Product Hunt was not always easy or fair. DevHunt is a member of the MarsX.Dev family and is led by John Rush.

A maker submits a tool with a category, such as AI coding, APIs, databases or open source, and picks a launch week. Voting and commenting need a login with a GitHub account, which keeps the votes genuine. The tools with the most votes in a week get a place in the weekly newsletter, a post on social media and a winner badge. In October 2026 the site reported more than 7,000 tools launched and about 44,000 registered developers. It also publishes lists, reports and price calculators for developers, and sells ad spots.

The DevHunt code is open source under the MIT license. Listing a tool is free; a launch in a chosen week and a boosted launch are paid.
