Forbes

A business media brand: Forbes magazine and Forbes.com publish business journalism and articles by expert contributors, which can bring readers to a company.

What Forbes is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Forbes is a business media brand of Forbes Media LLC. Forbes magazine was founded by B.C. Forbes in 1917, and Forbes.com is its online platform. The company states that the brand reaches more than 140 million people a month through its journalism, its ForbesLive events and 49 licensed local editions in 81 countries.

Forbes.com publishes work by a newsroom of editors, journalists and expert contributors. Its coverage centers on wealth and billionaires, finance and investing, entrepreneurship and small business, technology and innovation, and leadership. Forbes Councils is a separate program of invitation-only communities for senior executives. Members are chosen through an application; they can submit bylined articles, which Forbes editors edit before publication on Forbes.com, and each member receives an Executive Profile page on Forbes.com with a bio, a company description and links to the member's website.

Forbes is a publication, not a software tool. It sells advertising, branded content, events and memberships; approved Forbes Councils members choose a membership package. The downloaded pages state no prices.
