Luma

An event platform: hosts create event pages, take registrations, sell tickets and message guests, and people discover events near them.

What Luma is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Luma is an event platform, a website and mobile app for creating event pages, taking registrations and selling tickets. Luma Labs, Inc. operates it. Hosts use it for events in person, online or both, and guests use it to discover events near them.

A host creates an event page with a cover image, a theme, a time and a place, and shares its link. Guests register on the page, answer registration questions, buy tickets of different types and add them to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The host manages the guest list, can require approval, runs a waitlist, sends blasts and automated reminders by email, SMS, push notification and WhatsApp, and checks guests in at the door by scanning their tickets. Online events connect to Zoom or Google Meet. Every event belongs to a Luma Calendar, where a host shares and manages all of its events.

Luma is free for unlimited events and guests, with a platform fee on paid tickets. The Luma Plus subscription removes that fee and raises the weekly invitation limit; card payments go through Stripe, which charges its own fee.
