TheDevToolsDir

An online directory of developer tools sorted by category; makers list a product there so that developers find it and so that it gets dofollow backlinks.

What TheDevToolsDir is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

TheDevToolsDir is a curated web directory of developer tools: a website that lists products, each with a short description and a link, sorted by what they do. Categories include CI/CD (continuous integration and delivery, the automatic build, test and release of code), monitoring, databases, testing, hosting, analytics and many more. A sister directory, TheSaaSDir, lists software-as-a-service products.

A maker submits a product with only an email address; no account is needed. Each listing page links to the product's website with dofollow links, which are links that search engines follow and count when they rank pages, so they can raise the domain authority of the linked site (a score that SEO tools give to a whole website). A free listing requires the maker to put a TheDevToolsDir badge with a dofollow link on its own site; the directory checks the badge regularly and unpublishes the listing when the badge stays missing for 7 days. A paid listing needs no badge, gets 3 backlinks and is featured on the home page and the category pages.

Paid listings are one-time payments, not subscriptions.
