AgentMail

An email API for AI agents: a program creates real email inboxes with one call, then sends, receives and threads messages through them.

What AgentMail is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

AgentMail, from AgentMail, Inc., is email infrastructure built for AI agents, that is, programs that use a language model to act on their own. Instead of adding AI to a person's mailbox, it gives each agent an inbox of its own, created through an API (an interface that another program calls over the internet).

One API call provisions a dedicated inbox. The agent then sends and receives messages, keeps replies and forwards grouped in threads, and handles attachments. Incoming email can trigger workflows through webhooks (HTTP calls to the customer's server) or websockets. Access comes through SDKs for Python and TypeScript, a command-line tool, an MCP server and an SMTP relay. Permissions limit which inboxes an agent can read or send from, and Pods keep each customer's inboxes and domains in a separate workspace. The service is SOC 2 Type II compliant.

AgentMail is a hosted service with a free plan and monthly or yearly subscriptions priced by the number of inboxes, emails and custom domains.
