Hetzner is a German hosting company, Hetzner Online GmbH, that runs its own data centers in Germany and Finland. It rents out dedicated servers (whole physical machines), cloud servers (virtual machines that share the hardware of a larger host), managed servers, web hosting and storage.
Cloud servers come in plans such as Cost-Optimized for test environments, Regular Performance and General Purpose, in locations in Germany, Finland, the USA and Singapore. A customer creates them in a web console or through a REST API; each server is billed by the hour, and the bill never exceeds a monthly price cap. Servers in the EU include at least 20 TB of traffic. Dedicated servers come in lines with AMD (AX) or Intel (EX) processors, GPU servers with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 cards for AI work, and a server auction of refurbished machines whose prices fall over time. Other services are S3-compatible object storage, Storage Boxes for backups, load balancers, DNS management and domain registration.
Products are rented for a monthly price, shown without VAT; cloud servers also have an hourly rate.
