The Amazon Ads API is a REST API (an interface that other programs call over HTTP) from Amazon Ads. It lets software manage the advertising resources of an Amazon advertiser: create and change campaigns, adjust bids, keywords and budgets, and download reports on ad activity, without using the Amazon Ads console by hand.
It gives programmatic access to sponsored ads, streaming TV, Display, Video and Audio ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud and Amazon Marketing Stream. Typical uses are custom reporting dashboards, automatic bid and keyword optimization and always-on budget rules. Users are solution providers that sell such tools to sellers and agencies, agencies with engineers, and large advertisers. Access needs an application and approval: partners apply through the Amazon Ads Partner Network, direct advertisers for their own account. Test accounts let developers try calls without showing real ads.
Amazon charges no extra fee for the API; users pay only normal selling fees and the cost of their ad campaigns.
