Anchor Browser, from Anchor, is cloud browser infrastructure for AI agents and automation. A cloud browser is a real web browser that runs on the provider's servers and is controlled by a program, so an agent can use websites that offer no API. Anchor runs Anchor Chromium, its own fork of the Chromium browser, in many sessions in parallel.
A program starts a session and controls it over CDP (Chrome DevTools Protocol, the interface that tools such as Playwright and Puppeteer use) or a REST API, or gives a task in plain language that Anchor's agent carries out. Managed authentication keeps users logged in across sessions, including accounts with MFA. Other features are residential proxies for chosen locations, captcha solving, session recordings, and a live view that a product can embed so users watch the browser work. SDKs exist for Node.js and Python, plus an MCP server.
Anchor is a hosted service with a free plan and monthly subscriptions that include credits; extra credits are charged per use.
