Baidu Search Resource Platform (百度搜索资源平台, at ziyuan.baidu.com) is the official platform of the Baidu search engine for developers, content creators and site managers. It is a webmaster tool: a set of web tools with which a site owner tells a search engine about a site and sees how the search engine crawls, stores and shows its pages.
An owner adds a site and verifies control of the domain (webmaster tools usually check for a tag in the page source or a file on the server). After verification the owner holds the domain in the platform and can add its subdomains. The tools then report index volume (the number of pages Baidu has stored), traffic and search keywords, crawl frequency, crawl errors and robots.txt rules. Owners submit new pages for fast or normal crawling, report dead links and announce a site redesign. The platform also has courses, search guidelines and a forum.
It is a web service run by Baidu; most tools require a Baidu login, and the pages show no price.
