Browserbase

A cloud browser platform for AI agents: it runs real web browsers on its servers, which programs control to open sites, log in, fill forms and extract data.

What Browserbase is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Browserbase is a platform from Browserbase, Inc. that runs web browsers in the cloud for AI agents and automation scripts. A cloud browser is a real web browser that runs on a provider's servers and is controlled by code instead of a person, so a program can open a page, click, log in and fill forms on sites that offer no API.

One API key gives access to several services. The Browser API creates, controls and observes browser sessions; a Search API finds relevant websites for a query; a Fetch API turns any URL into HTML, JSON or Markdown; Functions deploy agents to run on a schedule or on demand; and a model gateway gives access to the major language models. Scripts written with Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium connect to the cloud browsers, and Browserbase also makes Stagehand, an open-source framework for browser agents. Thousands of sessions can run at the same time, and paid plans include CAPTCHA solving.

Browserbase is a hosted service with a free plan and monthly subscriptions that include browser hours; extra use is billed per browser hour, per search and per fetch.
