Drift

A conversational marketing product: an AI chat agent and live chat on a company's website that talked with visitors, qualified them as leads and booked sales meetings.

What Drift is

Written from an archived copy of its website, read on 28 October 2026. The product has closed.

Drift was a conversational marketing product owned by Salesloft, now Clari + Salesloft. Conversational marketing means talking with website visitors in a chat window in real time instead of asking them to fill in a form. In March 2026 Clari + Salesloft announced the gradual sunset of Drift and began to refer existing Drift customers to 1mind as the successor; drift.com now redirects to a Salesloft page about chat agents.

This description comes from the Internet Archive copy of the Salesloft Drift page of 30 January 2026. The Drift chat agent answered visitors' questions with AI, let buyers book meetings or chat live with a sales representative, and identified visitors' companies with account data such as company name and location. Fastlane used a company's own sales data to recognise high-value buyers so that they could skip the form, ROI reporting tied chats to pipeline and revenue, and qualified buyers went into the seller's Salesloft Rhythm workflow.

Drift was sold to businesses through Salesloft's sales team; the archived page shows no price.
