Google Sites

Google's website builder: people create and edit simple websites by drag and drop, without code, and Google hosts the pages.

What Google Sites is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Google Sites is a website builder and host that is part of Google Workspace, Google's suite of office apps. Google presents it for team, project and event sites and for personal or business websites.

Pages are built in a drag-and-drop editor on an automatic grid layout, so they fit desktops, tablets and phones without programming. Sites offers premade templates and custom themes (images, fonts, buttons and menu layouts), real-time co-editing as in Google Docs, and embedding of live content from other Workspace apps, such as a document or a shared calendar. Owners decide who can edit and who can view: a site can be open to people outside the company, even without a Google Workspace account, or restricted through sharing settings. Google can help buy a custom domain through its domain partners.

Sites is one of the apps included in the Google Workspace plans, which are billed per user per month and can be tried for 14 days.
