Nylas

An API service that lets an application read and send email, manage calendars and record meetings across Gmail, Microsoft, IMAP and other providers through one interface.

What Nylas is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Nylas is a communications API platform: one API through which an application reads and sends email, manages calendars and records meetings. An API (application programming interface) is a set of web addresses that another program calls. Nylas connects to more than 250 email, calendar and meeting providers, including Gmail, Microsoft, Exchange, IMAP servers and Zoom.

A user of the customer's app grants access to a mailbox through OAuth, a standard sign-in flow; Nylas manages the tokens and returns messages, events and contacts in one normalized JSON format, so the app needs no code for each provider. The Email API sends, receives, threads and parses mail with two-way sync, and webhooks report new events in real time. Agent Accounts give an AI agent its own hosted inbox and calendar. The Notetaker API sends a bot to Google Meet, Teams or Zoom meetings and returns recordings and speaker-labeled transcripts. An MCP server gives AI tools the same access.

Nylas is a hosted service sold by subscription: a free plan, then monthly plans priced by connected accounts and usage.
