Storyblocks

A stock media subscription: for a monthly or yearly fee, video makers download unlimited royalty-free footage, music, sound effects, templates and images for their projects.

What Storyblocks is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Storyblocks is a subscription library of stock media: ready-made video clips, video templates, music, sound effects, backgrounds and images that creators license for their own projects. The library holds over 10 million assets, and Storyblocks states that every asset is made by people, with no AI-generated content. Royalty-free means that the license is paid once, here through the subscription, with no further fee each time the asset is used.

Subscribers search the library by keyword or through an AI chat search and get unlimited downloads; footage comes in 8K, 4K and HD. Templates exist for After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Apple Motion, and a plugin lets an editor browse and download assets inside Premiere or After Effects. Plans also include an AI toolkit with monthly credits: it edits library clips from short text prompts with Runway's Aleph model, generates video and images, and creates voiceovers with voices powered by ElevenLabs. Each download pays the artist who made the asset.

Storyblocks is sold as a subscription per user, with individual, small business and business licenses.
