Supadata is a web API, an interface that other programs call over the internet, for video and web content. It is made by Dumpling Software in the EU. A program sends the address of a video on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or X, or a video file, and receives a transcript, metadata or structured data as JSON.
Transcripts come from the platform's own captions, automatic or manual; when a video has none, Supadata can generate one with AI. Transcripts carry timestamps and can be in several languages. Metadata covers titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, views, likes and comments. Video analysis takes a prompt or a JSON schema and returns structured data drawn from the visuals, audio and context of a video. A web scraping endpoint fetches any URL and returns it as Markdown ready for LLMs (large language models). There are Python and JavaScript SDKs, no-code connectors for Zapier, Make, n8n and Active Pieces, and an MCP integration.
It is a hosted service with a free tier of 100 requests a month and monthly or yearly plans measured in credits: one transcript or one fetched URL costs 1 credit.
