Zapier is a no-code automation platform: it connects more than 9,000 web apps so that work moves between them without code and without a person. It also calls itself an AI orchestration platform, a system that coordinates AI models and agents with ordinary software steps.
The central unit is a Zap, an automated workflow made of one trigger and one or more actions. Zapier checks for new trigger events at a set polling interval, from 15 minutes on the free plan to 1 minute on higher plans, or receives them through webhooks. Steps can filter data, branch into paths, run short code, or let AI write and summarize text. Related products include Tables for stored data, Forms that start workflows, Agents, Chatbots, and Zapier MCP, which lets AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor use Zapier's app connections.
Zapier is a hosted service. Plans are subscriptions priced by the number of tasks per month, where a task is one action that a Zap completes; a free plan exists.
