PR Newswire

A press release distribution service: a company submits one news release, and PR Newswire sends it to newsrooms, journalists and news websites in the chosen countries and industries.

What PR Newswire is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

PR Newswire is a press release distribution service, also called a newswire: a company sends a news release once, and the service delivers it to newsrooms, journalists, news websites and other media outlets. PR Newswire is a brand of Cision and states that it has worked in news distribution for more than 70 years.

A customer uploads a press release, and an editorial team, available 24 hours a day, proofreads it for grammar, broken links, industry tags and SEO guidelines. The customer chooses the audience by country (more than 170, in over 40 languages), region, city, industry, beat (the topic a reporter covers) or demographics, and can add photos, videos, logos and infographics. PR Newswire then sends the release to more than 440,000 newsrooms, direct feeds and subscribers, including more than 270,000 journalists and influencers and more than 9,000 websites and digital media outlets. Reports show impressions and the sites that posted the release.

PR Newswire is a paid service. The site lists no prices; customers request a demo or contact sales.
