Splitbee

A closed web analytics and conversion tool: a small script counted page views and events, and its dashboard showed traffic, funnels, A/B tests and automations.

What Splitbee is

Written from an archived copy of its website, read on 28 October 2026. The product has closed.

Splitbee was a web analytics and conversion tool for websites and apps, made by Tobi and Timo, who later joined Vercel. Web analytics measures who visits a site, from where and what they do there. The site splitbee.io now only says that Splitbee has been sunset, in a note signed in 2025. This card is based on Internet Archive copies of the site from November 2024 to January 2025.

A site added one line of code, a script under 4 KB, which tracked page views automatically; developers could add custom events. The dashboard showed traffic in real time, where visitors came from, which pages they visited and which ad campaigns converted. A user explorer followed each user's actions, and funnels showed where customers dropped out. Automations ran actions on user events: emails, notifications on Telegram or Slack, entries in a Notion database or webhook calls. A/B testing split traffic between page variants. Data was stored in Europe and was not sold.

Splitbee was a hosted service with a free plan and a Pro subscription priced by events per month.
