Razorpay

An Indian payment gateway: it takes customer payments by UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets on a website or app and pays the money out to the business.

What Razorpay is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Razorpay is a payments company based in Bengaluru, India. Its main product is a payment gateway, a service that collects a customer's payment on a website or in an app and settles the money to the business's bank account. In India, the payment aggregation service is run by Razorpay Payments Private Limited, a payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

A business adds Razorpay's checkout to its site or app through APIs and SDKs, or uses tools that need no code: Payment Links, Payment Pages, payment buttons and QR codes. Customers choose from more than 100 payment methods, including UPI (Unified Payments Interface, India's real-time bank-to-bank payment system used from a phone), RuPay and other cards, netbanking, wallets and EMI. Other products collect recurring subscription payments, take in-store payments (Razorpay POS), accept payments from abroad, send payouts and offer business banking (RazorpayX) and payroll.

It is a hosted service priced per payment: a percentage fee on each successful payment, with no setup fee and no annual maintenance charge. Razorpay also has separate pricing for Malaysia, Singapore and the United States.
