Amplitude

A product analytics service: an app sends it an event for each user action, and it shows how users move through the product and which ones return.

What Amplitude is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 13 October 2026.

Amplitude is a product analytics platform made by Amplitude, Inc. Product analytics records what users do inside a website or app, one event per action such as a sign-up, a click or a purchase, and turns these events into reports about behavior.

A team adds an Amplitude SDK (software development kit) to its browser, iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter or server code. The SDK sends event, user identity and revenue data to Amplitude and can capture page views, clicks and sessions automatically. In the web interface the team builds funnel analyses, which show at which step users drop out, retention analyses, which show how many users come back, event segmentation, behavioral cohorts and dashboards. The same platform offers session replay, heatmaps, feature experiments (A/B tests), in-app guides and surveys, and AI agents that answer questions about the data in plain language.

Amplitude is a hosted service with usage-based pricing: the plans depend on the features and the monthly number of events. A free plan includes 2 million events a month.
