Google Workspace is Google's subscription bundle of online office and collaboration software for businesses. It is software as a service (SaaS): the programs run in Google's cloud and are used from any device, so the business installs and maintains no servers of its own.
The bundle includes Gmail with email addresses at the company's own domain ([email protected]), Drive for cloud file storage, Docs for word processing, Sheets for spreadsheets, Slides for presentations, Calendar with booking pages for customers, Meet for video meetings, and Chat for team messages. Several people can edit the same document at the same time. The Gemini AI assistant works inside Gmail and, in higher plans, inside Docs and Meet. An administrator manages users and security settings in the Admin console.
Google sells it per user per month in plans named Starter, Standard, Plus and Enterprise; higher plans add more storage per person, meeting recording and data retention tools. A 14-day free trial is available.
