Churnkey

Retention software for subscription businesses on Stripe and other billing systems: it shows cancel flows with offers, recovers failed payments and measures churn.

What Churnkey is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Churnkey is customer retention and churn management software for subscription businesses, made by Churnkey. Churn is the share of customers who cancel or stop paying. It is built for Stripe and also supports Chargebee, Maxio, Paddle and Braintree. It connects to the billing account and works on the two main causes of churn: customers who choose to cancel, and payments that fail.

Cancel Flows replace the cancel button with a short sequence: an exit survey, an offer chosen by the reason, such as a discount, a pause or a seat handoff, and a confirmation. A flow is hosted by Churnkey or built with the open-source React SDK as a drop-in component, a headless hook or a state machine. Payment Recovery adds Precision Retries on top of Stripe's own retry logic, dunning campaigns by email, SMS or in the app, and a payment wall that blocks features until the card is updated. Churn Metrics, Feedback AI and an MCP server for AI agents complete the product.

Churnkey is a hosted service; its price depends on the monthly churned revenue. The SDK and the MCP server are free and open source.
