Loops is an email sending platform for SaaS (software as a service) companies, made by Astrodon Corporation. It sends three kinds of email from one place: campaigns sent once to a segment of contacts, workflows that send emails automatically when a contact does something, and transactional emails such as receipts and password resets that the product sends to one person.
A workflow starts from a trigger, for example a new contact, and can branch on contact properties, so one path welcomes new users and another follows up with users who have not finished setup. A product connects to Loops through an API (for example a POST request that creates a contact or sends a transactional email), SDKs for Node, Ruby and PHP and for frameworks such as Next.js and Laravel, and webhooks. Segments update as contact properties change. Reports show which emails led to upgrades.
Loops is a hosted service. The price depends on the number of subscribed contacts; on paid plans, email sends and team seats are not charged separately, and a free plan covers the first 1,000 contacts.
