Kit (formerly ConvertKit)

An email marketing platform for creators: it collects subscribers through forms and landing pages, sends newsletters and runs automated email sequences.

What Kit is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Kit, formerly named ConvertKit, is an email marketing and newsletter platform built for creators, such as authors, podcasters and YouTubers, who sell to their own audience. It collects subscribers through landing pages and forms, sends broadcasts (one-off emails to a list) and email sequences, and sells digital products and paid newsletter subscriptions.

Subscribers are grouped with tags and segments, based on their actions or interests. Visual Automations, a visual workflow editor, sends each group its own series of emails, such as a welcome sequence or a product launch. Subscriber Signals shows the demographics and social followings of subscribers. The Kit App Store connects other business tools, a public API and plugins serve developers, and the Kit MCP server lets AI tools ask questions about the account, tag subscribers, draft emails and schedule sends.

Kit is a hosted service. A free plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers; paid plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions priced by the number of subscribers, with a 14-day free trial.
