Wistia

A video hosting platform for businesses: it stores videos, plays them on the company's own website in an ad-free player, runs webinars and reports viewer data.

What Wistia is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Wistia is a video and webinar platform for business. Its core is video hosting: a company uploads and stores its videos at Wistia and embeds them in its own web pages, where they play in an ad-free player that carries the company's branding.

Around the hosting, Wistia adds webinar software, recording of a camera or a screen, editing with AI tools, dubbing and translation into 50+ languages, in-video forms that capture leads, and video analytics. Wistia Signals sends each viewer's video and webinar engagement to marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo and Pardot. Developers can build custom video experiences with the Wistia API.

Wistia is a hosted service (software as a service: it runs on Wistia's servers and is used through a browser). A free plan includes 25 GB of storage and one user. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, with a discount for annual billing.
