Fiverr

An online marketplace for freelance services: a business browses fixed-price service packages (Gigs) from freelancers, orders one, and pays through Fiverr.

What Fiverr is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelance services, run by Fiverr International Ltd. The company was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Tel Aviv. Its freelancers and clients come from an estimated 160 countries, and its catalog covers more than 700 categories, such as programming, graphic design, digital marketing, video editing, writing, translation and AI services.

A freelancer offers a service as a Gig: a listing with preset packages, each with a fixed price and delivery time, plus optional extras such as faster delivery or more revisions. A client searches the catalog with filters, checks reviews and portfolios, messages the freelancer, and then orders a package or asks for a custom offer. Fiverr holds the payment until the client approves the delivery, and for 13 days after an order is marked complete Fiverr can still cancel it. A client can also post a project brief and receive offers from matching freelancers, or pay an expert sourcing service to find and vet freelancers.

Freelancers set their own prices. Fiverr adds a service fee, a percentage of the purchase, to each payment a client makes.
