What PolicyMaker is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

PolicyMaker is a free online generator of legal documents for websites, blogs, online stores and apps. A document generator fills a prepared template with the answers that a business gives in a short questionnaire. PolicyMaker offers generators for a privacy policy, terms and conditions (also called terms of service) and a disclaimer, and a template for a non-disclosure agreement.

For terms and conditions, the form asks 9 questions: the website domain, the company name, the country or state whose law governs the terms, whether users can create accounts or content, whether the business sells products or subscriptions, the refund period, the effective date and a support email address. PolicyMaker then adapts its universal template to these answers in seconds. Its team says it writes the templates to fit most businesses in any country and updates them when legislation changes.

PolicyMaker is a hosted web tool and is free to use, and the generated documents can be used without restrictions. The site states that PolicyMaker is not a law firm and that its documents do not replace professional legal advice.
