What QuickScreen is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

QuickScreen is a screen recorder for macOS made by AppBlit LLC. A screen recorder captures what happens on the computer screen as a video file. QuickScreen adds visual effects during the recording, so that the video looks finished without a separate editing pass.

The user records the entire screen, a region or a single window, with optional system audio, microphone input and a webcam overlay. The app places the recording on a background (an image or a video), smooths the cursor movement, animates clicks, and zooms in automatically when the user circles an area with the mouse, or manually with a chosen key shortcut. The result is an MP4 file with all audio tracks merged, in landscape, square, vertical or 4:5 format, ready the moment the recording stops. The app creates the videos locally on the Mac, and the maker states that it collects no information.

QuickScreen is sold on the Mac App Store and requires macOS 15.0 or later. It is free to download; QuickScreen Pro is a one-time in-app purchase.
