ScreenshotOne is a website rendering API, a hosted service that turns web pages into screenshots, PDFs and videos on request. Dmytro Krasun founded it in May 2022 and runs it as a bootstrapped, customer-funded business. Customers use it for website previews, personalized marketing, content analysis and AI agents that need to see web pages.
A program sends an HTTP request to api.screenshotone.com with the page address and options, or uses a library for Java, Go, Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby or C#. ScreenshotOne loads the page in a browser on its own servers, so the customer runs no browsers. One option blocks ads, cookie banners and chat widgets, using a database of more than 50,000 rules. Other options request dark mode, hide elements, click on elements, inject custom JavaScript and CSS, set any screen size or a Retina display, and capture full pages with lazy-loaded images. Output formats include PNG, WebP, JPEG and PDF; higher plans add scrolling videos. No-code tools such as Zapier and Make connect to it.
Pricing is a monthly subscription with a quota of screenshots and a price for each extra one.
