Usercentrics

A consent management platform: it shows a cookie consent banner on a website or app and records which data uses each visitor allows.

What Usercentrics is

Written from its maker's own pages, read on 28 October 2026.

Usercentrics CMP is a consent management platform (CMP), software that asks website and app visitors for permission before cookies and tracking tools collect their data, and stores each answer. It is made by Usercentrics, which also sells server-side tracking and a privacy policy generator.

The site owner adds the Usercentrics script to the website. The script shows a consent banner whose colors, buttons, layout and text the owner can change, and it passes each visitor's choices to the site's tags, including through Google Consent Mode (Google's way for its tags to adjust to the visitor's consent). The owner picks the privacy laws to follow, such as GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, and geolocation rules show different banners in different countries. Dashboards show opt-in and opt-out rates. Separate versions cover mobile apps and connected TV.

It is a hosted service sold as a monthly subscription. The plans differ by the number of sessions per month, domains and banner languages, and every plan has a 14-day free trial.
