HubSpot is a customer platform made by HubSpot, Inc.: software for marketing, sales and customer service built on one CRM (customer relationship management system, a database of contacts, companies, deals and their history). It is divided into hubs: Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Content Hub, Data Hub and Revenue Hub, plus Agent Hub for AI agents.
Service Hub is the help desk. Customer messages from email, live chat and phone become tickets in a help desk workspace; routing rules assign them to team members, SLA rules (service-level agreements) track response times, and reports measure team performance and customer satisfaction. A knowledge base and a customer portal let customers find answers themselves, and Customer Agent, an AI agent, answers questions by email and live chat at any hour. Because all hubs share the CRM, a support agent sees each customer's deals and marketing history next to the ticket. The HubSpot Marketplace offers apps from other companies that connect to HubSpot.
HubSpot is a hosted subscription service. Each hub has a free plan and paid Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions priced per seat per month, with a 14-day free trial.
